Mark is a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University spending his first five years in Mobil Oil in down-stream fuels marketing and project engineering following which, Mark studied for a one year full time MBA at Cranfield School of Management attaining one of only two academic scholarships awarded from Ford Motor Company.

Post MBA, Mark spent two years at the leading American strategy house Booz Allen & Hamilton working on large corporate M&A transactions. He then joined Merrill Lynch Investment Managers where he spent five years in a variety of roles in the private client discretionary investment management business latterly running a team in charge of £700m of client assets.

Following this he joined a small boutique firm specialised in funding early stage companies and property developers. Mark grew this business strongly achieving an IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 2006 exiting this business in 2009.

Since 2009 Mark has continued to nurture a number of the original investment companies and now enjoys current status as a portfolio entrepreneur and financier of a portfolio of diverse and interesting businesses.

Mark’s focus since 2013  has been building Burrington Estates into a diversified Property Development and Investment Business which is now over £100m in turnover and with investment assets of circa £60m.
